CraftsLog was conceived and designed in collaboration with Sofia Gerstlacher as part of the fourth-semester Bachelor’s module Digital Products and Services.

The initial idea was to create a platform where craftspeople and those interested in the trades could exchange ideas via a chat function and build a community. The concept aims to help make craft trades more attractive to young people, whilst also providing craftspeople with a platform to showcase their work.

For example, the app could showcase photos and videos of various craft projects and share background information. Craftspeople could network with one another, and users interested in exploring career options could take an interest assessment to receive suggestions for profiles of craftspeople in relevant trades. The core idea behind the concept is to combine a career guidance app with a social media platform.
